Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 6-hole donut pan with non-stick spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ½ cup sugar.
In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, apple cider, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Divide batter evenly between donut pan holes. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
In a small bowl, mix remaining ½ cup sugar with 2 tbsp cinnamon. Dip cooled donuts into mixture to coat.
