Ingredients

• • 2 ⅞ cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free)
• • 1 ⅞ tsp baking powder
• • ⅞ tsp salt
• • ⅞ cup unsalted butter
• • ⅞ cup granulated sugar
• • 1 ⅞ large egg
• • 1 ⅞ tsp vanilla extract
• • ⅞ cup milk or almond milk
• • Food coloring (autumn colors)
• • 1 ⅞ cup icing sugar

Instructions

   Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar, then add egg, vanilla, and milk. Divide dough into three portions and add food coloring.

   Chill dough for 30 minutes. Roll out and cut into shapes (turkeys, leaves, pumpkins).

   Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely.

   Pipe icing onto cookies and add sprinkles or edible glitter.

   Line a decorative box with tissue paper. Add cookies in layers with parchment paper between. Include a handwritten label.
