Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
In a large mixer bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Alternately add dry ingredients and eggnog to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Fold in vanilla extract.
