Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with 1½ tablespoons olive oil. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
In a large skillet, heat 1½ tablespoons olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and browned. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
